What time are the NFL playoffs today? TV schedule, channels for the double Saturday bedside table

When the first round of NFL playoff action begins Saturday, the day’s AFC clashes could be among the most important of the wildcard weekend.

In one game, there are two franchises, Las Vegas and Cincinnati, desperately looking for their first playoff win in more than a decade. The two teams finished the year 10-7, although they arrived very differently and with different stories at stake throughout the season.

The other showdown features the Bills and Patriots facing off for the third time this season. AFC East rivals played in two very different games in the two timeouts, with the Patriots running the ball at will in the first meeting and the Bills returning and winning the second game with ease.

Given what’s at stake for the four teams entering the field on Saturday and the history and rivalries at stake, the first day of wildcard action could be one of the best.

What time are the NFL playoff games today?

Raiders against Bengals

  • Date: January 15, 2022
  • Location: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio
  • Start time: 16:30 ET

The first day of NFL action begins with a historic showdown. Las Vegas returns to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and only the second since 2002, when they won the Super Bowl. Cincinnati, meanwhile, is back in the postseason for the first time since 2015 and has not won a playoff game since 1991, when the Raiders beat them in the divisional round.

With interim coach Rich Bisaccia, the Raiders went 7-5 and won their last four games to reach the playoffs. This year they were a fairly average team on the road, finishing 18th in goal-scoring attack, 11th in total attack, 26th in scoring defense and 14th in total defense.

Cincinnati, meanwhile, improved dramatically, 10-7 this year after a 4-11-1 campaign last season. Much of this has to do with the connection between Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, as the team finished seventh in scoring offense and 13th in total offense.

Patriots vs. Bills

  • Date: January 15, 2022
  • Location: Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, New York
  • Start time: pm

The prime-time showdown on the 1st of the wildcard weekend should be good. The Bills and Patriots have faced each other twice this season, playing very different games each time. In the first game, New England beat Buffalo 14-10 after running for 222 yards and throwing the ball only three times.

After the game, the Buffalo defensive stars were asked Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde if they were ashamed of the team’s defense that night, while Sean McDermott downplayed the credit that Bill Belichick deserved in that victory.

The second round went the Bills’ way as they beat New England 33-21 at Gillette Stadium in a game that had a total of 428 yards of attack, as Josh Allen threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns while Mac Jones was retired twice. .
